Calories And Sugar Cookies

bulerías

In Vienna there are ten girls,
a shoulder to cry on
death and a forest of dried pigeons. A fragment
am
in the museum of winter frost.
There is a lounge with a thousand windows.

Ay, ay, ay, ay!
Take this waltz with the mouth closed.

This waltz, this waltz,
self, death and
brandy that dips its tail in the sea.

I love you, love you, love you,
with the armchair and the book of death down the melancholy hallway
,
in the dark attic of the lily,
in our bed
moon and dance the turtle dreamed of.

Ay, ay, ay, ay! Take this waltz
broken waist.

In Vienna there are four mirrors
where your mouth and play echoes. One death

piano that paints little boys blue.
There are beggars on the roof,
There are fresh garlands of tears.

Ay, ay, ay, ay!
Take this waltz that dies in my arms.

Because I love you I love you, my love,
in the attic where children play, dreaming ancient lights

Hungary through the noise, the balmy afternoon, seeing sheep and irises

snow through the dark silence of your forehead.

Ay, ay, ay, ay!
Take this waltz of "I love you always."

In Vienna I will dance with you in a costume that has
river head. Look
shores I have hyacinth!
I will leave my mouth between your legs,
my soul in photographs and lilies,
and in the dark wake of your footsteps
love, my love, my love, leave,
violin and grave, the waltzing ribbons.

"Little Viennese Waltz" is a poetry of "Poet in New York" found in the ninth paragraph "Escape New York ". Nice, right? In another post there was talk of shrimp and its work based on the work of Federico García Lorca. If we stop to think, we realize that Federico García Lorca is the most famous poet in Spain, it is obvious that his work will inspire many musicians in the country. But so was?

Let's start ... In the same inning in which he spoke of shrimp was also introduced to Enrique Morente for their collaboration with Planets in "The Legend of space." Planets in this sense it was not innovative, it was Nick Lizard, the most important group Granada movement of the early nineties, he made a full album with Enrique Morente as a fusion of flamenco, and not to independent pop like planets but with a dirty rock and accelerated some call trash metal, this disco-bright-called Omega , is completely based on the work of Federico García Lorca and the second cut is version of "Little Viennese Vasl. Enrique Morente and Nick told Lizard with other well known artists such as Tomatito, which spoke David-o Vicente Amigo. The cover was:

Below is written "Sing to Federico García Lorca and Leonard Cohen " already mentioned some of Leonard Cohen on the blog, is a famous singer but why Nick Lizard Morente and flamenco tone reciting poems by Federico García Lorca Leonard Cohen sing? For Leonard Cohen sings Lorca and well before that Morente ( I'm your man, 1988). The truth is that some issues of Omega are interpretations of Cohen songs, which in turn are based on poems by Federico García Lorca. The Omega playlist is: Omega

Little Viennese Waltz (Take this waltz)
The pastor bobo
Manhattan (First we take Manhattan)
Dawn in New York
Priests (Priest)
girl drowned in the well
Adam
Vuelta a walk
Waltz on the branches
Hallelujah (Halleluyah No. 2)
Standard paradise for blacks
City sleepless
East and West

the list we see that there are songs sung by Leonard Cohen , which are those that are in parentheses. As an anecdote, while not mean much, Leonard Cohen named his daughter Lorca. We appreciate the significant role played by Federico García Lorca out to Cohen, but ... Is that all?

In 1986 he released an album called "Poets in New York " in tribute to Federico García Lorca, after fifty years of his death, the playlist and the musicians who composed each:

Take this waltz - Leonard Cohen
Norma i paradis - Lluis Llach
Grido to Rome - Angelo Branduardi
Birth of Christ - Victor Manuel
Your Childhood in Menton - David Broza
Murder - Paco Lucia and Pepe de Lucia
A Aurora - Raimundo Fagner and Chico Buarque
are blacks in Cuba - George Moustaki and Mikis Theodorakis
Unsleeping city - Donovan
Kleines Unendlich Gedicht - Manfred Maurenbrecher
Ode to Walt Whitman - Patxi Andion

In short, Federico García Lorca is known not only and admired in Spain, is a recognized poet in capitals around the world and much loved outside our country. You can not imagine the roots that have created their work and how they have caught many artists who are paying tribute.

Dedicated to David, which ultimately is very flamenco, luck with the exams.

Jazz Competition

my jazz sounds out of breath, my jazz sounds
bulerías Bringing
dirt, salt and dance Carrying
simple joy.

Hold on to my jazz root, the veins Feel
ripping poetry, free jazz
My love, my jazz playing cards nitrate and
And forget me in another life.

friendly pat the fears, scream and preach
the zagalillas:
"While time passes, but the dust would
, Elf
overflow Swing Life"
Keyboards
walk my pores, fertile
strings on your cheeks,
And among the fandango of our union,
Our gemio from the island. Hang

my jazz anyone
That drill back, climbing by the English,
That in your breasts hanging melody
Of race, energetic, my blood jazz,

jazz My pleasure, my jazz por bulerias,
Ay! No love my jazz, my jazz to "never too late"
And forget about forgetting to remember in another life.

Jazz fusion is a musical full of surprises, I recently discovered two discs produced by Michel Camilo and Tomatito sublime that I have found, adding that I'm trying to read Lorca I study and study "mu flamenco" I lately. Here
one of my favorite songs of these two albums called by the order of publication, respectively, "Spain" and "Spain again."

The quality of songs is more than confirmed, is energetic music, enveloping and very "race."
With much more to say about these previous albums but soon, a greeting without elves.
